Finally new update! Team Lantto Racing has been spending well earned free-time off the bike for some weeks,
but now it's time get back in the garage. So, after the Mantorp race we made some small fixes to the bike for the last race there was to come,
the FHRA Defa Finals. The race was back in end of July. Everything there went pretty much as in previous races
but new setups for clutch were working and we made best time so far, 9.815s/230kmh. Still it wasn't even near what we
are craving for, but the direction has been found for setups. Now the situation is that there is helluva a lot power
but it just needs to be guided to the ground!
There was also Test Day at Pudasjärvi airport back in late September where we of course went to hit some rounds. We were able to do total five rounds until it started raining... The track was cold (+5C) and slippery (no glue used on that track), but the times were all around 9.8xx-9.9xx sec and new speed record was also done, 234km/h. After third round gearbox started shift wrong and on final round fifth gear broke down. Apparently the stock gears can't handle that brutal power the bike is making...
Now the autumn has landed and there is no need to trying to find sunlight anymore, means that Team is going to camp in the garage for preparing SC-RC8 for the next season. To-do list is way too long to tell here, but everything in the bike will be stripped off, some parts needs to be re-engineered, fairings will be finished this time and much more!
The website will be taken care also at some point as well new pictures and videos will be uploaded here and on other portals too. Don't hold your breath while waiting these, our main job and interest is the bike and making it better!

Mantorp race behind. We were there in Super Comp Bike class testing more the RC, but not everything went as on paper due to more problems we faced with ECU and the bike as well. Clutch was found too hard and too diffucult to tune, suspension isn't working well and because of REALLY hot weather of Mantorp also air intake needs to be dramatically changed. So, lot's of new-born problems with the bike, but so far everything seems pretty easy to solve. Hopefully we have enough time for all these before Linde Open so Swedes can again enjoy the great sound of SC-RC8!
We got lot's of great feedback from people in Mantorp who really were interested of our "brain-fart" so now there is much more motivation to continue building this extravagant mean machine..! Also some magazines showed their interest on the RC, so maybe somekind of story can be expected on paper as well...
At the moment we are hosting track days using our name and everything seems great! Even Aku got a chance to ride a Super Duke on the curvy track... (not so fast anyhoo).

EM´s @ Alastaro was disappointment for us. Bike worked
fine few warming ups but then stopped. Failure was located at ECU and power supply. Problems has been fixed and next start
is @ Kalajoki.

Our supercharger has arrived. Mounting is in progress and hopefully our season starts from EM´s @ Alastaro.

Last weekend´s race was over for us already at friday. Bike failed to start and run properly because ecu box programming issues. We just run out of time solving this problem and had no chance to fix it for the weekend.

Last weekend was first race of the season in Motopark, Virtasalmi. We managed to get the bike in condition it was safe to ride, at least somehow, after the huge job we did at TaTech. All electric wirings were changed and new engine management system was installed. In the end, Aku didn't get sleep at all for two days as there was little rush finishing the job. Motorsport we say! :)
So, we arrived too late in Motopark on Saturday and all qualification runs were out. Well.., no worries. We collected a namelist from all competitors from ProSB class and still got a place for Sunday's eliminators. Back in the race... without sleep.
On Sunday morning we woke up in the rain. Damn. The rain continued whole day so the race was cancelled and we didn't get on the strip for a single run! So the first race pretty much turned into vain for our part.
Not that it so much troubles as the bike isn't quite ready to race yet... Our charger dealer in Denmark seems to be in their own problems and they still haven't delivered the charger for us. Hopefully they get their problems sorted out and we get to finish the bike soon! Next race is still too soon ahead!

First track tests done now. Unfortunately we were able to ride only three rounds, but we still did get good idea about how the bike goes. The bike was as stock, except longer wheelbase and lower clearance. The first run was 10,27s / 225km/h, which was actually quite nice surprise! Second run 10,17s / 219km/h and third 10,56s / 201,63km/h. On third run the bike lose ignition after 300m due to loosen wiring connector and thus bad time. The first race is about in a week and we still don't have the charger as our dealer has told there is some problems with availability...

April 10th should our next bike RC8, be on its way to Finland from Austria. We wont be able to get this bike done in time for this season opening race, but we´ll surely work around clock to do our best for it.
